November 6, 2009. As part of their social justice lesson in Religion class, Ms. Bernadette Alcantara and her 7th grade students collected, sorted and boxed toys, clothes, books and shoes for donations to Alee Shelter. Sister Brigid Perez, RSM was invited to talk about her ministry and mission in the Alee Shelter with the SBCS 7th graders during the day of giving of donations. We thank our parents and students who wholeheartedly supported this endeavor.
Sister Brigid shared about her vocation as a Sister of Mercy and her role in uplifting the condition of abused women and children, the importance of promoting a safe environment for all that is free of human suffering and attending to those who needs help.
