Readventure Kick-Off 2014 | Read for the Record: Bunny Cakes

October 21, 2014. SBCS supports Jumpstart’s premiere national campaign, Read for the Record, that mobilizes millions of children and adults to celebrate literacy by participating in the largest shared reading experience.

At the kick-off event, SBCS students joined millions around the country in reading the children’s book “Bunny Cakes”, a comical story of sibling bonding and birthday shenanigans, by bestselling author and illustrator Rosemary Wells, in support of Jumpstart’s mission: to work toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed.

Thank you to our 8th grade students, parents, their advisers: Mrs. Brenda Abad and Mr. Joel Suplido, and SBCS Director of Faith Formation, Ms. Bernadette Alcantara, for representing Santa Barbara Catholic School in the recent Walk for Life rally held last Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Agaña.
