SHREK	– Open to grades 6-8- Male- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- heavily built and tall- needs to have good comic timing- Audition Song: Big Bright Beautiful World– Additional Requirement: Learn Scottish accent
FIONA	– Open to grades 6-8- Female- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- energetic and enthusiastic amazon princess- needs to have good comic timing- Audition Song: I Know It’s Today
DONKEY	– Open to grades 4-8- Male / Female- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- a caring, funny, and sweet friend to Shrek- needs to have good comic timing – Audition Song: Don’t Let Me Go
LORD FARQUAAD	– Open to grades 4-8- Male- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- needs to have good comic timing- having a short height is an advantage for consideration- Audition Song: What’s Up, Duloc?
PINOCCHIO	– Open to grades 4-8- Male / Female- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- needs to have good comic timing- Audition Song: Freak Flag
GINGY (GINGERBREAD MAN)	– Open to grades 4-8- Male / Female- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- needs to have good comic timing- may also double as part of the chorus- Audition Song: Freak Flag
ENSEMBLE / CHORUS:Peter Pan, Three Little Pigs,Sugar Plum Fairy, Big Bad Wolf,Goldilocks & The Three BearsEvil Witch, Humpty Dumpty, Mad Hatter, Little Red Riding Hood, Three Blind Mice, Ugly Duckling, Fairy God Mother	– Open to grades 4-8- Male / Female- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- may also double as Duloc Knight- Audition Song: Freak Flag– Additional Requirement: Needs to show his/her “Special Physical Talent/Skill” (ex: soft limbs, curling of nose or tongue, gymnastics, flexibility, strength etc.)
Additional Roles:
Young Princess Fiona	– Open to grades 4-5- Female- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- energetic and enthusiastic amazon princess- needs to have good comic timing- Audition Song: I Know It’s Today
Teen Princess Fiona	– Open to grades 5-7- Female- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- energetic and enthusiastic amazon princess- needs to have good comic timing- Audition Song: I Know It’s Today
Young Shrek	– Open to grades 4-7- Male- strong singer, actor, and dancer/mover- heavily built- needs to have good comic timing- Audition Song: Big Bright Beautiful World
COMPANY DANCER	– Open to grades 4-8- Male / Female- strong dancer but can carry a tune and act also- Audition Song/Dance: Freak Flag

 

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Auditioning for:

ALL Auditioning for LEAD and CHORUS – Please read your audition requirement carefully. You are given at least ONE WEEK to prepare for your audition. Make sure to come in prepared. Please be ready to learn a dance piece on the day of the audition.

COMPANY DANCERS – Please be ready to learn a dance piece on the day of the audition.

* Bring water and light snack on the day of the audition. Wear comfortable clothes and bring extra clothes too.

* You may sign-up for audition thru Ms. Badong or Mrs. Guevara.

*Please have your audition forms ready when you audition. You may get your forms from Mrs. Guevara and Ms. Badong starting January 10, 2014. Audition songs are posted at the SBCS website.
