May 20, 2011 • The SBCS Student Council has prepared a fun and unique learning experience for our students. Aside from the exciting Carnival treat like the Jumper, we would like to offer our students their first ever alternative classroom learning experience – extraordinary subjects they can learn in a non-classroom set-up. We have tapped our very talented teachers to teach a different kind of lesson on that day – dance classes, face painting, hairstyling class, Robotics, Origami, Film Making, Rosary Making, and a whole lot more!

Santa Barbara Catholic School is having an art exhibit spearheaded by Mr. Julius Cesar Cena, Art Teacher, tomorrow, May 18, 2011.  It is a culmination of students’ work from 3rd through 8th grade, with media ranging from pencil to acrylic.  In addition, three-dimensional artwork will be on display.

Please come and visit the exhibition entitled “Black on White on Colors:  Beyond and In-Between” at the SBCS Multi-Purpose Room from 8am to 3pm.  Let us support the arts and the future generation of local artists!  We hope to see you there!

May 16, 2011 • Santa Barbara Catholic School. The members of SBCS National Junior Honor Society donated non-perishable food items to the Zero Down Families that they collected through their selfless effort on the “Can the Principal!” Project.

Another proud moment for SBCS. Congratulations to Jonah Imee Talavera and Kate Santos, SBCS Class of 2007, for graduating Salutatorian and Honorable Mention, from the Academy of Our Lady of Guam. Go Spartans! Biba Santa Barbara Catholic School!
